The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, announced on Tuesday, April 28, that the fire outbreak at Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos, destroyed 30 vehicles.
The filling station is located at YayaYaya Abatan bus Stop, off Colleage Road, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Oke-Osanyintolu said a tanker with 33,000 litres of diesel caught fire while discharging its contents into an underground tank at the NNPC filling station. Fortunately, no casualty nor lost of life where recorded.
